Hell Above

Chapter 1

9:29 am

Vic:
The date is March 22, 2013. It’s a partly cloudy day.  There isn’t much to it; I just woke up and made my coffee like usual. Jumped in the shower, got dressed, and waited for Mike to wake up. He spent the night at my house but wouldn’t tell me why. I just kinda overlooked that and didn’t really mind. I planned on going grocery shopping that day to get some shit for a party I was having.

Tony:
I waited for Vic to call. He had told me the night before that he wanted me to help set up for some party of his. I, of course, had nothing better to do so I said sure. I was kind of lonely because Mike was at Vic’s and Jaime was probably hungover from last night. I guess he wasn’t wrong when he said “I’ll be out drinking tonight.” So I just played with my turtle for a while and cleaned up my apartment.

Jaime:
Well fuck that was a great night. I went to that club down the street, I think it was called ‘neon nights.’ Anyway, it was about 9:30 and I was with my friend Austin. We ordered a couple Shocktops and met a couple chicks. I thought we would just end the night there, after partying till about 1:20. But no, Austin insisted that we go to his favorite bar down the street, ‘On the Rocks.’ Aaaand after that I’m not really sure what went on. All I know is that I woke up at about 4:15 in some taxi with a dog 14 miles from my house. I called a different taxi, and headed home.

10:06 am

Vic:

Mike still isn’t awake. Not sure why, he wasn’t out last night like some others. It’s about 10:05. I’ll wake him up at 10:30 and see what’s going on with him.
--
10:26 am

Mike:
So I just woke up, it’s like 10:26, and now my brother won’t stop asking me about what happened last night and why I had to spend the night at his house. I don’t really want to tell him because it’s not a big deal.

Vic:
He keeps saying it’s not a big deal, but if he doesn’t want to tell me, then it is a big deal!
--
10:41 am

Tony:
Vic still hasn’t called me. I even called him and he doesn’t answer his phone. I’m starting to get a little worried. I mean, he’s probably just sleeping in late. But then again, he usually wakes up to his phone ringing. I’m probably just paranoid.
--

11:14 am
Tony:
So Vic finally called. All he said was Mike wasn’t talking about why he left his house. Vic is fine, I’m meeting him at his place later to help for the party tonight. But now I’m getting worried about Mike. If he won’t talk to his own brother about, well, I don’t even know what it is. None of us do. Well Vic and I. Not sure if Jaime knows what’s going on since he’s so hungover. Well, anyway, I haven’t talked to Mike but I think I need to. I’m heading over to Vic’s. Hopefully Mike’s still there.

Chapter 2

11:31 am

Tony:
As soon as I heard what was happening with Mike I rushed over to Vic’s. It took me about 10 minutes to get there. But those 10 minutes were the longest of my life. I didn’t know what to expect when I got there. I tried thinking of what is wrong with Mike, but my brain just wouldn’t work. I didn’t want to think of the worst case scenario, but couldn’t help it.

Vic:
Tony just came over. He told me he was worried about Mike, but I don’t know what to tell him. Mike isn’t talking to me either.

Jaime:
So I finally got my shit together after Vic called me and said what was going on. It literally took me 25 minutes to realize that it was bad. My mind is still not 100% here. But I know enough to where I’m slightly worried too. Mike is never like this. I don’t know what could have happened to him or his house to where he won’t talk to his 3 best friends, including his brother. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see along with Vic and Tony.

Mike:
So I feel obligated to tell them but I don’t really want to. I feel like I can solve this issue myself. They’re all just overreacting and need to calm the fuck down.

Vic:
If Mike won’t tell me then I’ll have to find out myself. I’m going over to Mike’s now to see if there’s something weird at his place. I don’t want him to know I’m here though. I just told him I was going to the store and he couldn’t care less.

Tony:
Vic told Jaime and I that he’s going to Mike’s so now both of us are joining him.
--

12:01 pm
Vic: We got to Mike’s and the doors were locked, no surprise to me. We had to get creative; I stepped on Tony’s shoulders and jumped over the side wall, then Jaime did the same. Then Tony did some weird climb-up-the-wall-and-jump-over trick. Showoff. We found ourselves in the backyard. All there was was a pool and some lawn chairs. And then of course the back door was locked, so we had to climb through the kitchen window. Zero out of three of us easily got through. That’s a story for another time.

Tony: We did some weird CSI-investigator thing and climbed through the doors and windows. I felt like a cop. It was cool. Now we’re in one of the rooms. It’s just a TV and a couch. I feel like Vic is wrong; I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Mike’s house. I think Mike himself is hiding something, and the only reason he wanted to stay at Vic’s house was because he didn’t want to be alone.

Jaime:
I have no absolute clue what the plan is or what the proposed reason for Mike being like this is. I’m just following Tony and Vic around and eating all the food in the fridge.
--

12:18 pm
Tony:
So there seems to be nothing going on. We checked all the rooms; it’s the same as the last time we were here. So now it’s just time to yell at Vic for taking us here when he was wrong about Mike’s house all along. But that’s the least of the problems: now we know that Mike is hiding something and if he won’t tell his own brother we don’t know how we’re gonna find out what’s going on inside his mind.
